During the last week, crypto enthusiasts and traders have been discussing the stock-to-flow (S2F) bitcoin price model created by the pseudonymous crypto analyst \u201cPlan B.\u201d Despite Plan B\u2019s worst and best case scenario calls on June 20, a touch over a week later the analyst said the \u201cnext 6 months will be make or break for S2F.\u201d Currently, the S2F model has seemingly run off course and resembles the levels it saw in January 2019. <\/strong><\/p>\n

S2F Skepticism and the \u2018Make or Break\u2019 S2F Timespan<\/h2>\n

There\u2019s some skepticism<\/a> toward Plan B\u2019s infamous stock-to-flow (S2F) bitcoin price model ever since the closing price in June recorded below the S2F\u2019s projected course. The model\u2019s creator, however, would not necessarily use the terms \u201coff course\u201d but \u201cjust touching lower bands.\u201d<\/p>\n

Plan B recently explained<\/a> his \u201cworst case scenario for 2021,\u201d where he predicts prices to end up being around \u201cAug>47K, Sep>43K, Oct>63K, Nov>98K, Dec>135K.\u201d However, on June 1, Plan B noted<\/a> that the price was currently below the S2F trajectory.<\/p>\n

\u201cJune closing price $35,037 .. as far below S2F model as in Jan 2019. Next 6 months will be make or break for S2F (again),\u201d Plan B said.<\/p>\n

Others assume that bitcoin is just not getting attention as the media is highlighting the gains made by shiba inu (SHIB)<\/a>, baby doge<\/a> (BABYDOGE), and dogecoin (DOGE)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHard to take bitcoin seriously when the mass media is spouting out articles about dogecoin and shiba inu. We are going to $10,000,\u201d an individual responded<\/a> to Plan B\u2019s \u201cmake or break\u201d tweet. Another individual replied<\/a> to Plan B\u2019s assessment with more optimism.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven in the bear market of 2019 BTC<\/a> tripled in a few months\u2026\u2026 100K is secured, [a] very low target in current bull market.\u201d Plan B responded to the individuals \u201cvery low target\u201d tweet and said<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Indeed. And I must say [the] 2019 bear market (when I published S2F model btw) felt much much worse than [the] current \u2018China ban\u2019 dip.<\/p>\n

Bubbles Bursting or Buying Opportunities? Crypto Community Sentiment Toward S2F Still Undecided<\/h2>\n

Others believe bitcoin (BTC<\/a>) prices are a bargain right now and a chance of a lifetime purchasing opportunity. Lex Moskovski<\/a>, chief investment officer at Moskovski Capital shared this type of assessment on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u201cNegative Stock-To-Flow deflection is the highest it\u2019s ever been in the whole bitcoin history,\u201d Moskovski said<\/a>. \u201cThis is a great buying opportunity, if you\u2019re a believer in this model.\u201d Still, even after Moskovski\u2019s positive sentiment, a few skeptics think that the bubble has burst.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to believe any bullish Glassnode indicator, however, the increasingly overwhelming reality is that the bubble is bursting once again,\u201d the person said<\/a> in response to Moskovski\u2019s tweet. \u201cRetail is gone, many have probably again forgot that crypto even exists.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another person asked<\/a> Moskovski when Plan B would stop standing behind the price model. \u201cI wonder what deflection it will take for Plan B to admit the model is nonsense,\u201d the individual remarked.<\/p>\n

After a few reports that came out about Plan B\u2019s S2F bitcoin price model, one article leveraged the term \u201coff course.\u201d The pseudonymous crypto analyst disagreed with the terminology that was used in a specific article\u2019s headline.<\/p>\n

\u201cNah,\u201d Plab B tweeted<\/a> in response to the headline. \u201cS2F model is not \u201coff course\u201d .. just touching lower bands (just like Jan 2019 and Mar 2020).\u201d<\/p>\n
