He tweeted:<\/p>\n<p>We have decided to build a hardware wallet and service to make bitcoin custody more mainstream. We\u2019ll continue to ask and answer questions in the open.<\/p>\n<p>Square and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey subsequently confirmed, tweeting: \u201cWe\u2019re doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Dorogusker explained: \u201cOur next step is to build a small, cross-functional team, which will be led by Max Guise (welcome back). We will incubate this full-stack of tech, design, product, manufacturing, and supply chain with Thomas Templeton &amp; Square\u2019s hardware team to start with a strong foundation.\u201d The hardware lead elaborated:<\/p>\n<p>We have a lot of questions and issues to reconcile and we\u2019ll start with this product direction: bitcoin first, global distribution, multisig to achieve \u2018assisted-self-custody,\u2019 and prioritizing mobile use.<\/p>\n<p><!-- growjs zone placement 31 -->    <!-- end of growjs zone placement --> <\/p>\n<p>Dorsey first <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jack\/status\/1400839191320313860\">talked about<\/a> his company <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/payments-firm-square-may-build-a-hardware-wallet-dorsey-heckled-at-bitcoin-conference-over-censorship\/\">considering<\/a> building a hardware wallet on June 4.<\/p>\n<p>The Square and Twitter CEO wrote at the time: \u201cIf we do it, we would build it entirely in the open, from software to hardware design, and in collaboration with the community. We want to kick off this thinking the right way: by sharing some of our guiding principles.\u201d He further opined:<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin is for everyone.
