Financial institutions using Allied\u2019s platform will be able to offer their customers the option to buy, sell, and hold bitcoin. Furthermore, Allied will keep bitcoin on its balance sheet.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Allied Payment Network (Allied), a digital payment service provider for financial institutions, announced Tuesday it has partnered with New York Digital Investment Group (NYDIG), a bitcoin technology and financial services firm. NYDIG is a subsidiary of Stone Ridge, a $10 billion alternative asset manager.<br \/>\n\u201cThe partnership enables financial institutions to offer their customers the ability to buy, sell and hold bitcoin,\u201d the announcement explains, claiming that \u201cAllied is the first bill pay provider in the industry to embed this service in its platform and offer it to financial institutions.\u201d<br \/>\nThe announcement adds:<\/p>\n<p>Along with this partnership, Allied announced it will make an allocation to bitcoin for its corporate treasury, facilitated by NYDIG.<\/p>\n<p><!-- growjs zone placement 31 -->    <!-- end of growjs zone placement --> <\/p>\n<p>Financial institutions\u2019 bill pay platforms will be integrated with NYDIG\u2019s bitcoin platform, allowing customers to access the bitcoin service via their online banking or mobile apps.<br \/>\nAllied and NYDIG will also be collaborating to offer additional capabilities such as enabling consumers to make BTC-funded payments.<br \/>\nNYDIG has recently made several other partnership announcements, including a partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/10000-financial-institutions-customers-buy-sell-hold-bitcoin-bank-accounts\/\">Finserv<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/ncr-bitcoin-trading-650-us-banks-24-million-customers\/\">NCR<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/q2s-banking-platform-over-18-million-users-buy-sell-hold-bitcoin\/\">Q2<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>What do you think about Allied Payment Network offering a bitcoin service and keeping <a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/markets.bitcoin.com\/crypto\/BTC\">BTC<\/a> in its corporate treasury?
