Skybridge Capital\u2019s founder says bitcoin \u201cwill easily trade at $500,000 a coin,\u201d noting that investors should buy some right now, even at the current price. \u201cI\u2019m trying to do my best to explain to them why they need to own this right now,\u201d he said, emphasizing that we are still \u201cvery, very early.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018These Coins Will Easily Trade at $500K a Coin\u2019<\/h2>\n

Anthony Scaramucci, the founder and managing partner of New York City-based investment firm Skybridge Capital, commented on the U.S. economy, inflation, and bitcoin on CNBC Friday. Scaramucci briefly served as the White House director of communications during the Trump administration in July 2017.<\/p>\n

He was asked whether he advises people to buy bitcoin at the current price of around $64,000. Scaramucci promptly replied, \u201cno question about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the current BTC<\/a> price level, he said, \u201cI still believe we are very, very early.\u201d He noted that if Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood is correct and there are \u201ca billion wallets at the end of 2024 into the middle of 2025,\u201d he expects:<\/p>\n

These coins will easily trade at $500,000 a coin. Remember, you don\u2019t even have enough bitcoin for every millionaire in our society to earn one coin.<\/p>\n

In September, Wood doubled down<\/a> on her $500K bitcoin price prediction. \u201cIf we are right and companies continue to diversify their cash into something like bitcoin, institutional investors start allocating 5% of their funds into \u2026 bitcoin, or other crypto,\u201d she said, \u201cWe believe that the price will be tenfold of where it is today \u2026 over $500,000.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJPMorgan said there are 49 million millionaires based on U.S. dollar fiat currency,\u201d Scaramucci added. \u201cYou don\u2019t even have enough [for each millionaire]. So, for me, I think this is a very scarce property.\u201d<\/p>\n

He further explained that given rising inflation fears: \u201cI\u2019m telling people to own a little bit of bitcoin because that\u2019s offering you an adaptive technology that\u2019s evolving. And the second thing that it\u2019s offering you is a potential inflation hedge.\u201d He continued:<\/p>\n

This is very, very early for people. And I\u2019m trying to do my best to explain to them why they need to own this right now.<\/p>\n
