On November 10, 2021, Vogue Singapore, a team dedicated to fashion, beauty, and \u201cstories that matter,\u201d is launching a non-fungible token (NFT) drop on the marketplace Opensea. The drop will be the fashion and lifestyle magazine\u2019s first NFT collection featuring digital-only Vogue covers crafted by NFT artists.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vogue to Drop the Firm\u2019s First NFT Collection<\/h2>\n

The fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue and its subsidiary from Singapore is entering the world of non-fungible token (NFT) collectibles. The fashion firm is an old company as it was founded in 1892 by Arthur Baldwin Turnure, and the American company has since created a number of international offshoots.<\/p>\n

Vogue Singapore announced the launch of Vogue\u2019s first NFT collection hosted on Opensea on November 10. The drop will feature \u201ctwo digital-only cover NFTs created in collaboration with local and international digital designers,\u201d Vogue Singapore\u2019s team details.<\/p>\n

One of the Vogue Singapore NFT covers was crafted by the metaverse artist and Nike 3D designer, Chad Knight, alongside Jamela Law and Lionel Wong of Singapore-based design firm, Ba\u00eblf Design. The animated cover created by Knight, Law, and Wong is called \u201cTriumphant Awakening.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cover \u201cpresents a gold statuette standing in front of a rotating blue planet with a radiant sun perennially rising and setting in an elliptical arc. A regal headdress \u2014 envisaged by Ba\u00eblf Design using an AI-algorithm to create organic fractal patterns \u2014 adorns the goddess, finely detailed and liberated from the laws of physics,\u201d Vogue Singapore\u2019s announcement explains.<\/p>\n

Vogue Singapore Plans to Release 2 \u2018Beauty NFTs\u2019 Crafted by Dain Yoon<\/h2>\n

The second digital Vogue cover is called \u201cThe Renaixance Rising,\u201d and the cover was made to be a programmable NFT. NFT artists The Fabricant and Shavonne Wong created the \u201cThe Renaixance Rising\u201d piece, and the art\u2019s lighting changes depending on the time of day it is viewed. Furthermore, Vogue is also launching two \u201cbeauty NFTs\u201d designed by Korean make-up maestro Dain Yoon and with the Singaporean-Italian studio Lanzavecchia + Wai.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll inspired by the global theme of \u2018New Beginnings\u2019, Yoon\u2019s work features various surreal interpretations of a new dawn \u2014 from cherry blossoms painted on her body to an intricate peacock make-up look emblazoned on her face \u2014 while Lanzavecchia + Wai has created the \u2018Living Vase 01\u2019 and \u2018Flower: Collectible\u2019 that depicts an eternal flowering vase that blooms and wilts with each sunrise,\u201d Vogue Singapore\u2019s announcement concludes.<\/p>\n
