Last week the leading luxury auction house Sotheby\u2019s introduced its non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace called \u201cMetaverse.\u201d The Sotheby\u2019s NFT marketplace has featured a number of collectible artworks including cards from the Rare Pepe card collection. Now the socialite Paris Hilton has introduced a few of her NFTs on Sotheby\u2019s native NFT market featuring works from popular NFT artists such as Chelsea Evenstar and Maalavidaa.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leading Auction House Sotheby\u2019s Introduces Metaverse NFT Market<\/h2>\n

The British-founded American multinational luxury auction headquartered in New York City, Sotheby\u2019s has been going big on non-fungible token (NFT) collectibles in recent times. Last week the company introduced<\/a> the \u201cSotheby\u2019s Metaverse<\/a>\u201d in order to host and auction the hottest NFTs in the space. The original Sotheby\u2019s website could not offer the same experiences Metaverse offers and people can host their NFT collections by connecting with Sotheby\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Just recently a collection of some of the rarest Rare Pepe blockchain trading cards were listed on the Sotheby\u2019s NFT Metaverse market. The Twitter account dubbed \u201cToken Angels\u201d tweeted<\/a> about having his Rare Pepe blockchain trading cards listed on the luxury NFT market. \u201cVery honored to take part [in this] auction [and] super proud to present RAREPEPE to the world art community,\u201d Token Angels said. \u201cPlease watch the video (in link) where I present the 3 amazing cards on auction and I explain why RAREPEPEs are the OG of the OGs of NFTs & Crypto Art.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paris Hilton Lists Her NFTs Using Sotheby\u2019s Market<\/h2>\n

On October 19, just before bitcoin (BTC<\/a>) surpassed its all-time price high, the media personality, socialite, businesswoman, model, singer, and actress Paris Hilton tweeted about her new listing in the Sotheby\u2019s Metaverse NFT marketplace. \u201cI love the amazing [artwork] for my [Natively Digital] @Sothebys @Sothebysverse Auction,\u201d Hilton said on Twitter.<\/p>\n

Hilton\u2019s NFT collection hosted on Sotheby\u2019s Metaverse features artwork from Maalavidaa in a piece called \u201cFractures<\/a>.\u201d Another piece by Serwah Attafuah called \u201cAether: Galaxy Goddess<\/a>\u201d and an NFT crafted by Chelsea Evenstar called \u201cAQUARIUS \u2013 Keeper of the Amethyst Star<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NFT auction listing on Sotheby\u2019s market notes that Hilton developed her first NFT in March 2020, and she won the \u201cBest Charity NFT\u201d at the NFT Awards ceremony. \u201cParis sees the NFT art market as the future, and loves that artists are pushing boundaries and changing the art industry forever,\u201d the Sotheby\u2019s listing says. It\u2019s been known for a long time that Paris Hilton is a fan of the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry as she said this past spring<\/a> that she is \u201cvery, very excited\u201d about bitcoin.<\/p>\n
