The Nasdaq-listed company says that \u201cCoinbase NFT\u201d will make \u201cminting, purchasing, showcasing, and discovering NFTs easier than ever.\u201d In addition, Coinbase says, \u201cWe\u2019re going to grow the creator community exponentially, a win for artists and for fans.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Coinbase NFT to Help Grow Creator Community \u2018Exponentially\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>The Nasdaq-listed cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase announced Tuesday that it is launching a marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Sanchan Saxena, VP of Products at Coinbase, wrote:<\/p>\n<p>Today, we\u2019re announcing Coinbase NFT, a peer-to-peer marketplace that will make minting, purchasing, showcasing, and discovering NFTs easier than ever.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust as Coinbase helped millions of people access bitcoin for the first time in an easy and trusted way \u2014 we want to do the same for the NFTs,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Coinbase further explained: \u201cAll NFTs are on-chain. The initial launch will support Ethereum based ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standards with multi-chain support planned soon after. We\u2019ll provide the best user experience, but we\u2019ll never lock creators in.\u201d Interested users can now sign up for early access.<\/p>\n<p>Noting that \u201cIndustries such as fashion, gaming, and music are recognizing the power of NFTs to unlock new forms of creativity and ownership,\u201d the Coinbase VP noted, \u201cIf you\u2019ve tried to create or purchase an NFT, you\u2019ve probably found the user experience lacking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Coinbase aims to make the process simpler, stating: \u201cWe\u2019re making NFTs more accessible by building user-friendly interfaces that put the complexity behind the scenes.
