It is a full-time position based in Bentonville, AR, where Walmart Inc. is headquartered. The posting details:<\/p>\n<p>As one of the largest retailers and e-commerce companies, Walmart enables [a] broad set of payment options for its customers. As digital currency\/ cryptocurrency lead at Walmart you will be responsible for developing the digital currency strategy and product roadmap.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an expert in digital currencies\/ cryptocurrency and blockchain related technologies, you will drive the vision for the product and capabilities roadmap,\u201d the posting continues. \u201cYou will provide the leadership to identify technology and customer trends and the investments needed to build on those trends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- growjs zone placement 31 -->    <!-- end of growjs zone placement --> <\/p>\n<p>Among several responsibilities, the successful candidate will \u201cown and drive the digital currency strategy for Walmart,\u201d \u201ccommit to a product roadmap and drive the project execution,\u201d and \u201cidentify crypto related investment and partnerships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The basic qualifications required for the crypto lead position include a bachelor\u2019s degree and \u201cExperience with the cryptocurrency ecosystem and related technologies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Amazon, the world\u2019s second-largest retailer, posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/amazons-payment-team-hiring-digital-currency-expert-to-develop-cryptocurrency-strategy-and-products\/\">job opening<\/a> for a \u201cdigital currency and blockchain product lead\u201d to develop its crypto strategy \u201cincluding the customer experience, technical strategy and capabilities as well as the launch strategy.\u201d The e-commerce giant is also <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/jeff-bezos-amazon-accept-bitcoin-popular-cryptocurrencies\/\">rumored<\/a> to start accepting bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies by the end of this year.
