Italian soccer club AC Milan and Bitmex have reached a long-term partnership agreement that will put the logo of the cryptocurrency exchange on Milan\u2019s jerseys. As part of the sponsorship deal, Bitmex will become Milan\u2019s \u2018official sleeve\u2019 and \u2018crypto trading\u2019 partner. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Bitmex Brand to Feature on Sleeves of Milan Playing Kits<\/h2>\n

Bitmex, a leading crypto derivatives platform, will be AC Milan\u2019s Official Cryptocurrency Trading Partner, the Italian football grand announced<\/a> on Tuesday. A press release published on its website reveals the two sides have agreed on a multi-year sponsorship.<\/p>\n

According to the agreement, the digital asset exchange will also become the soccer team\u2019s \u201cfirst-ever Official Sleeve Partner.\u201d The Bitmex brand will appear on the sleeves of both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s team playing kits in all competitions, including the UEFA Champions League. The logo will also feature on the sleeve of Milan\u2019s esports team AQM\u2019s outfit.<\/p>\n

The arrangement has been described by the partners as Bitmex\u2019s first venture into the world of football and esports. The exchange is known in the crypto space for offering trading services for cryptocurrency derivatives<\/a> products such as the perpetual swap<\/a>. Commenting on the deal with Milan, Bitmex CEO Alexander H\u00f6ptner stated:<\/p>\n

Our partnership with AC Milan is the start of a hugely exciting new chapter for Bitmex as we look to ramp up brand awareness and increase understanding of crypto.<\/p>\n

H\u00f6ptner praised Milan for its heritage while recognizing that \u201cone of the world\u2019s most progressive football clubs\u201d is engaging with soccer fans around the world. \u201cWe can\u2019t wait to start interacting with the global Rossoneri family,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur red and black shirt is not just something our players wear on the pitch, it represents who we are, and it embodies the passion of the over 500 million AC Milan fans across the world,\u201d said Casper Stylsvig, AC Milan\u2019s Chief Revenue Officer. \u201cThis is truly an exciting partnership and the beginning of a great journey for both brands and our fans,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The football team noted that the collaboration with Bitmex will give its fan base \u201caccess to the increasingly popular cryptocurrency world.\u201d Registered supporters will be presented with exclusive offers from the crypto platform while the exchange will be able to promote digital financial literacy.<\/p>\n

The Bitmex logo on the team\u2019s jersey will debut in the first game of the new season on Aug. 23, when Milan faces Sampdoria in Genoa, and in front of the home crowd at the San Siro stadium in the club\u2019s next match against Cagliari.<\/p>\n
