PANAJI: At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic’s first wave last year, Gajesh Naik, a Bambolim-based school student, began generating online teaching content. The purpose of the content was to assist primary school kids from vernacular schools in dealing with the lack of physical education lessons.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gajesh, a 13-year-old, has excelled himself this year. Goa Boy is the manager of millions of Dollars Cryptocurrency PolyGaj, a cryptocurrency money management ecosystem, was created by a Class VIII student at People’s High School in Panaji. On the Polygon<\/a> network, Gajesh has created two apps, or decentralized applications, that allow access to crypto-investing.<\/span><\/p>\n

StableGaj is a decentralized stablecoin swap that provides stablecoin exchange on the Polygon<\/a> network, whereas PolyGaj is a one-stop DeFi (decentralized finance) and NFT platform.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the pandemic, Gajesh took the time to upskill himself from chatbot programming to Blockchain Technology application, while children his age were preoccupied adjusting to online learning.<\/span><\/p>\n

PolyGaj is a DeFi protocol based on the Polygon blockchain, which has raised millions of dollars cryptocurrency, including a recent investment in the Polygon<\/a> blockchain by US billionaire Mark Cuban.<\/span><\/p>\n

DeFi refers to non-custodial software tools that manage a user’s cryptocurrency without the need of intermediaries such as banks or investment managers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSince the last one year, when physical classes were discontinued due to the pandemic, I decided to take and completed some online certificate courses, including from University Buffalo, State University of New York,\u201d said Gajesh, <\/span>the son of Goa civil service officer Siddhivinayak and PWD official Pranita.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gajesh started learning coding at a Bootcamp when he was eight years old and now knows C, C++, Java, JavaScript, and Solidity.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said he became interested in blockchain technology after attending enthralling talks at the international blockchain congress held in Goa in 2018, which was hosted in conjunction with the Goa government.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSince then he equipped himself with requisite blockchain programming skills and blockchain programming languages. Being a relatively newer topic with less knowledge available in the public domain, Gajesh takes direct tutelage from professors of MIT and Stanford,\u201d said his father Siddhivinayak.<\/span><\/p>\n

He now actively participates in millions of dollars cryptocurrency discussions on social media platforms and has 22,100 Twitter followers, including Dimitry Beterin (father of Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum), Sandeep Nailwal (co-Founder of Polygon), Jayanti\u00a0 Kanani (CEO of Polygon), and Vijay Shekhar Sharma (Founder of Paytm), among others.<\/span><\/p>\n

He’s also made instructional films about cryptocurrency for his YouTube channel, which has over 12,000 subscribers from all around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gajesh is the world’s youngest individual to finish all five levels of Google’s arduous Foobar challenge.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since online lessons have resumed, the adolescent intends to devote up to five hours to schoolwork while spending the rest of his day working on PolyGaj.<\/span><\/p>\n
