{"id":10014,"date":"2021-07-24T14:54:05","date_gmt":"2021-07-24T14:54:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.buyucoin.com\/crypto-labs\/amazons-payment-team-hiring-digital-currency-expert-to-develop-cryptocurrency-strategy-and-products\/"},"modified":"2021-07-24T14:54:05","modified_gmt":"2021-07-24T14:54:05","slug":"amazons-payment-team-hiring-digital-currency-expert-to-develop-cryptocurrency-strategy-and-products","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.buyucoin.com\/crypto-labs\/amazons-payment-team-hiring-digital-currency-expert-to-develop-cryptocurrency-strategy-and-products\/","title":{"rendered":"Amazon\u2019s Payment Team Hiring Digital Currency Expert to Develop Cryptocurrency Strategy and Products"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Amazon\u2019s Payments Acceptance &amp; Experience team is hiring a digital currency and blockchain expert to develop the company\u2019s digital currency and blockchain strategy and product roadmap, including a launch strategy. \u201cWe\u2019re inspired by the innovation happening in the cryptocurrency space and are exploring what this could look like on Amazon,\u201d the company\u2019s spokesperson said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Amazon Developing Crypto Strategy<\/h2>\n<p>Amazon has posted a job opening for a \u201cDigital Currency and Blockchain Product Lead.\u201d The job posting explains that \u201cThe Amazon Payment Acceptance &amp; Experience Team is responsible for how Amazon\u2019s customers pay on Amazon\u2019s sites and through Amazon\u2019s services around the globe,\u201d elaborating:<\/p>\n<p>The Payments Acceptance &amp; Experience team is seeking an experienced product leader to develop Amazon\u2019s digital currency and blockchain strategy and product roadmap.<\/p>\n<p>The company further described: \u201cYou will leverage your domain expertise in blockchain, distributed ledger, central bank digital currencies and cryptocurrency to develop the case for the capabilities which should be developed, drive overall vision and product strategy, and gain leadership buy-in and investment for new capabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Among the basic qualifications required for the role is a \u201cDeep understanding of the digital \/ cryptocurrency ecosystem and related technologies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The posting adds: \u201cYou will work closely with teams across Amazon including AWS to develop the roadmap including the customer experience, technical strategy and capabilities as well as the launch strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- growjs zone placement 31 -->    <!-- end of growjs zone placement --> <\/p>\n<p>Confirming the job posting to CNBC, an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement:<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re inspired by the innovation happening in the cryptocurrency space and are exploring what this could look like on Amazon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe the future will be built on new technologies that enable modern, fast, and inexpensive payments, and hope to bring that future to Amazon customers as soon as possible,\u201d the spokesperson noted.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon Web Services currently offers a service called managed blockchain but Amazon does not currently accept bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies as payment for its products.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Do you think Amazon will soon accept crypto payments?
